Gizmo staring out the window |
It is amazing how quickly weekends go, even when you don't have anything planned. Yesterday I spent the day lounging around my house (sounds fun, right?) basically doing nothing. Ok, I did do a little cleaning, and some online shopping. I am amazed out how easy it is to spend a lot of money very quickly online. The only thing I've never been able to get in to buying online is clothes. I like to see how it looks on me before I buy something. But anything else is easy. It started with needing to get a cable for my printer because for some reason I can't get it to connect to my wireless network. Then, since that was just one little thing, I decided to see what else I needed. Before I knew it, I was spending over a hundred dollars, mostly for items not absolutely urgent. Its a good thing I'll be getting extra money for living here in Juarez. I'm going to need it if I'm going to spend so much time at home. Of course, a better alternative would be to find something outside of my house to occupy my time. Tomorrow I'm going to finally have my car inspected for SENTRI, so that will make it easier to go to El Paso. I just hate going places by myself (other than shopping, that is, which I mostly prefer to do alone).
I also moved the desk in my study. I moved the desk to under the window. I did that partly because I knew Gizmo would like it, but mostly because there aren't enough plugs on the wall where it was originally placed.
Ever since then, however, Gizmo has been obsessed with sitting on that desk and staring out the window. He even looks out the window when I have the blinds closed. Its almost like he's willing me to open the blinds. Or maybe he is just imagining what is on the other side.
