Not a lot of damage to my car |

The bike got caught under the back bumper and was dragged |
I don't even know where to begin. This must just be my lucky, or rather extremely UNLUCKY week. I guess I would have to say my unlucky week and a half. Last night, I was taking Ulises to meet up with his brother-in-law so he could spend the night there. He doesn't like his new place, it's kind of far away. Anyway, as I was turning onto another road, I needed to get into the far left lane. I saw no traffic on the road. There were no headlights of traffic, either. I was about halfway across the road, when after about 30 seconds I hear a crash. I am startled and stop my car. While I was driving, a motorcyclist hit me from behind! He must not have had his headlight on, or something, because I didn't see him at all, even though I looked over my shoulder. I also have no idea why he didn't change lanes as there was literally no one else on the road.
It was quite a nerve-wracking experience. I still feel anxious when I think about what happened. I called the Consulate and my insurance company. The police really wanted to take me to jail, as in Mexico you are guilty until proven innocent and an accident is a felony offense. The only thing that saved me was my insurance company coming down, and all of the office of RSO. It was not a fun experience at all. In the end, though, they didn't even give me a ticket. Which means they must have determined that the accident wasn't my fault.

Which caused this to pop out a little. This had already popped out from a previous incident with my haywire GPS |
