First class |
We flew Aeromexico. That is the most expensive airline. You would think that would make it the best. I'm not so sure on that. We ended up waiting in the airport for about an hour and a half after our flight was supposed to leave because there was too much "air traffic" in Mexico City. Apparently, my friend Kate had a similar experience the first time she flew with Aeromexico. So, I think next time, we will try a different airline.
Despite that, it was a good flight. Somehow I got a free upgrade to first class for Ulises and I. This was Ulises's first time flying ever, and my first time in first class. It was nice, but I don't know if it is as great as people always claim. It's definitely not worth the exorbitant amount of money they want to charge, but for free, definitely worth it :) In any event, Ulises was really nervous until we got up into the air. Then he was like a little kid. It was great to see and experience that with him.
We landed late, ate dinner at Wings in the airport, and then got a taxi to our hotel. We are staying at the Holiday Inn near the Zocalo. It's in the historic center, so we should have easy access to the sites.
So excited for his first time flying!! |
