Second Grocery Shopping and Molletes

Mexicans love their sauces!
I went to another grocery store today, to S-mart.  They had good prices on produce, so I guess its possible to buy produce for cheaper here in Mexico, though I was still surprised by a couple things.  One that a lot of the produce (at least the packaged kind) is actually from the U.S.  Second, I was surprised that the Washington apples were tiny.  I guess they keep the larger apples for sale in the U.S.
After that, I went to the church for ward FHE.  We had a short spiritual portion which began with a hymn and a prayer, than repeating of some motto (didn't understand what it was from, but I think it may be from the Young Men), an article of faith, and a scripture.  Then we had a lesson.  After the lesson, we closed with a hymn and prayer before we started the games.
During that time, I met a young woman who is down here in Juarez to get an immigrant visa.  Her mother lives in the U.S. and she has lived there since she was 3 yrs old.  We ended up talking quite a bit, then played games with the other members.  We played a couple of interesting games I've never played before.
The first was a game where one person called out (or at least this is how I understood it, "en barco se une, se une con . . . " and then a number.  Whatever number was called out, you would have to group together with other people to get to that number.  Anyone left out, was out.  We did that until there were only 4 people left.
Molletes, with pico de gallo on top.
The second game, everyone stood in a circle around one person who would go around and point at someone and say either giraffe, or elephant.  Depending on what was said, the two people on either side would do an action.  If it was elephant, the two would fan at the head as if flapping large ears.  If giraffe, they would crouch down as if the person in the center was really tall.  If you did the wrong one, or if you weren't supposed to move, you were out.
Then we had food.  We had something that I had never heard of before.  It is called mollete.  It is a toasted piece of bread with beans and cheese on top.  It is really good.  During the meal, I talked with my new US resident hopeful friend.  She told me about all the warnings people had given about scams that people would try to run on her, and then told me about a scam that she was hit with.  It really sucks that so many people take advantage of people who just don't understand the whole process.
