Hanging Around

Sign that says you can go through the red light as long
as no one is coming and you are careful.  Its kind of
like turning right on a red light, except you're going
straight.
Another week has gone by here in Juarez.  I haven't really been doing anything too interesting, though I have taken a few pictures.  So, there are these metal statue type things that are located one some major street crossings.  I'm not really sure what they are for, or why they were put there, but it is interesting to see.
Also, there is this pizza place near the consulate (well, up the road from the consulate) that I was surprised to see  has a "spaguettis" sign in the window.  I guess they must also sell spaghetti.  I wasn't surprised by that, but by the spelling.  It made me smile.
Then on Friday, we had a surprise birthday party for one of my colleagues.  His girlfriend is in the Peace Corps in Guatemala and she came up to surprise him.  They had Tacos al Pastor catered in for the event.  It was pretty awesome.
Oh, I got sustained to my new calling of the primary today.  Hopefully it will turn out better than I'm thinking right now.  On Thursday we're going to the temple.  It'll be nice to know where it is.
One of the metal statues around town.
Spaguettis!
Catered Tacos al Pastor
Gizmo still loves his scratching post!
