After a long day, we received our bid list today. I have to admit that at first I was a little disappointed. When I thought about it afterward, I think I was disappointed for two reasons. 1. There weren't very many Russian speaking posts (only 4.3% of the posts are Russian speaking, half of which don't start until mid to late next year) and 2. At first glance, there didn't seem to be anything that I thought was really interesting.
But, I've been looking up information about pet restrictions to help me make more informed decisions about each post. Of all the different posts, only 10.75 % have some kind of pet quarantine (I'm including one where the information said if they don't accept the certification then your pet would be quarantined and one that may not be possible due to unusual restrictions on the timing of vaccinations). That doesn't limit my possibilities by much. I'll have to look at other things (such as languages, timing, etc.) before I make my final bid list.
Needless to say, it's going to be a long and interesting next couple of weeks!

sorry it wasn't what you hoped for - but hope you find some great posts. Do you know how big your class is?
It's a good thing you weren't in the 155th - we had NO Russian posts. The CDO's were great though, most of my classmates were pretty happy with where they're going. Happy bidding!
